Cape Cod Wedding

060316-690-2Heaven smiled down on Keisha and Dan, pushed away the rain and clouds,  and dropped little gems of magic everywhere.  A white crane flies in the distance behind her, as I photograph this “camera shy” beauty.  A firm handshake and genuine exchange of respect and love, as Keisha’s father holds back his tears and entrusts Dan.  The sun finally comes out as they embrace in their first dance together, only to get that much better when their dog decides to join in on the dance.  An “I love you” between Keisha and her dog…no words needed.  And kids in cute nautical outfits, barefoot and dirty by dinner…love it!

It was such an honor to photograph their wedding, particularly because both the bride and the groom are active duty military and they are two of the most genuine and kind people ever.   The venue was a private home in Falmouth, MA, which they rented and shared with friends and family for their destination wedding weekend.  It was the quintessential Cape Cod backdrop with boats sitting quietly on the bay, but was surprisingly unique with its seaside cypress grove which provided brilliant texture and warmth.  Please enjoy a small selection of images from Keisha and Dan’s gorgeous Cape Cod Backyard Wedding.    cape-cod-blog-post-1 cape-cod-blog-post-2 cape-cod-blog-post-3 cape-cod-blog-post-4 cape-cod-blog-post-5
