The moment I met Nina and Chad it was clear that not only are they a perfect fit, but we would be a perfect “photography fit”. I absolutely love Nina’s style, and when she showed me a picture of her vintage inspired dress I began counting down the days to her wedding (Dress Designer Rembo Styling from Veka Bridal in Brooklyn). Naturally, as a stylist, Nina did her own hair and makeup (as well as several bridesmaids), and her equally as talented sister, Viki, did all of the jaw-dropping beautiful flower arrangements. There was yet another spectacular cake by Rachel Cronemeyer, and a delicious meal served family style by Noah’s Restaurant in Greenport. Their heart felt ceremony was led by Reverend Nancy Remkus of Sag Harbor and the party was kept lively by DJ Mark Z. Some DIY notes, the bride and her mom collected all of the table napkins themselves, and they also used extra fabric of her dress to wrap the almond wedding favors. The place cards and table numbers were printed through Minted.com…how easy and perfect! And speaking of the table numbers, you will notice their randomness which is a nod to Nina’s father, Alexander Rutsch, and his ever present spirit there that day. A gifted artist with a fascination of cloud formations and random numbers – I find it no coincidence that the sky’s “drama” was magnificent that evening. It seemed every which way I looked there was inspiration, from the gorgeous details to the depth of emotion all around. The love between Nina, Chad and Chad’s daughter, Nova, left everyone feeling warm and fuzzy as these two families united. And as if all of that wasn’t amazing enough, Nina and Chad ordered up a Blood Moon/Super Moon Lunar Eclipse to cap the evening off! (they actually did not realize it until the days before, but it certainly was the icing on the cake!). Thank you to my wonderful and talented assistant Chris Fanjul. Thank you to Nina and Chad for warmly welcoming us into your day as friends. ENJOY!
