“It is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch it, we are going back from whence we came.” – John F. Kennedy
A place rich with history and deep roots was only fitting to celebrate Courtney and Toby’s love. Together with their friends and family, they tied the knot in a weekend long Newport soiree. Beginning first at The International Tennis Hall of Fame, the happy couple enjoyed a lineup of heartfelt toasts, bringing many tears and much laughter. It was a truly beautiful kickoff to the weekend. Next morning, wedding day!! Nerves…beautiful butterflies. And then they finally meet, locked on one another and just plain happy. Perfect. We then went on to stroll the breathtaking grounds of The Castle Hill, all of its quaint New England corners of The Chalet and Harbor Houses, and of course the legendary lawn and lighthouse overlooking Narragansett Bay. Her dress mimicked the sails beyond them. Beneath the sailcloth tent, band Kahootz lit it up and kept the party lively! And Courtney and Toby’s glow stick send off was, well, awesome! Bravo and thanks to my second shooter, Teresa Sweet, to the fellas of Blue Kite Cinema, Luke Renchan Photo Booth, Exquisite Events of Newport, Entertainment Specialists, BellaBeauty Bridal, Scrumptions wedding cake, and of course The Castle Hill Inn.
